    Establishment of Akachi Genetics, Inc. (a breed stock farm in Gunma Prefecture)
    Establishment of brand pork and feed design research group

  • 1983

    Establishment of Global Pig Farms, Inc.

  • 1986

    Completion of Global Pig Farms, Inc. head office building
    Establishment of GP Laboratories, Inc. (a consultant veterinary company)

  • 1990

    Ham Koubou Global commences operations

  • 1993

    Establishment of Akechi Genetics, Inc. (a breeding stock farm in Gifu Prefecture)

  • 1995

    Global Pig Farms, Inc. realizes annual sales of 10 billion yen

  • 1996

    Opening of directly-operated farm with approx. 1,200 sows in Fukushima Prefecture

  • 1998

    GP Laboratories, Inc. merges with Global Pig Farms, Inc.

  • 2006

    Absorption of Sakata Shokuniku Bussan Inc. into Global Pig Farms, Inc.
    Establishment of Sakata sales office

  • 2007

    Global Pig Farms, Inc. realizes annual sales of 20 billion yen

  • 2009

    Opening of Higashiyama Farm (a grow-to-finish farm in Nasu-Shiobara City, Tochigi Prefecture)

  • 2010

    Global Pig Farms, Inc. wins the Prime Minister’s Award in the Livestock Industry Division at the 49th National Agriculture Festival
    Global Pig Farms, Inc. wins an honorary award for its business activities (Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award) at the 59th National Agricultural Competition hosted by Mainichi Shimbun
    Global Pig Farms, Inc. wins a special award in the farm management division at Chikusan Taisho, an annual award event hosted by the Japan Livestock Industry Association

    Ham Koubou Global receives a commendation from the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare as a facility with excellent food hygiene

  • 2012

    Establishment of Shibata Packers, Inc., a pork processing and packing plant, marking the entry of Global Pig Farms, Inc. into the packing plant business

  • 2015

    Global Pig Farms, Inc. realizes annual sales of 30 billion yen
