Original FeedsMixing feeds to our own formulation – Ensuring high quality for a lower price

What a pig eats contributes to the quality of its meat as much as breeding.
At Global Pig Farms, we produce a stable supply of high-quality feeds that are mixed on the farm or at contracted feed plants.

Consistent feed quality independent of market trends

We use high-quality corns and soybean meal with the optimal amino acid balance and calorie composition for pigs as the basic ingredients for our feeds. These ingredients are mixed in formulations that ensure the optimal nutrient balance for each stage of the animal’s growth.

We do not design our feeds with consideration of cost, and we will not change their composition based on factors such as the increasing price of ingredients. Our goal is simply to create the most delicious pork in Japan – and that means never cutting corners.

Example of feed formulation:
Feed for fattening pigs

Category Blend ratio Ingredient
Grains 84.03% Corns
Plant-derived oil meals 13.50% Soybean meal
Chaff and brans 0.05% Rice bran oil cake
Other 2.42% Calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, dietary salt, micronutrient vitamins, micronutrient minerals, calcium silicate, yucca extract, lactic acid, Bacillus subtilis

The taste of pork depends on the quality of its fat content, and this is determined by the fat and micronutrients contained in the feed. Micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals are generally expensive. But we don’t stint on these ingredients, basing the nutritional design of our feeds on calories and amino acid balance. We never add antibiotics, fats and oils to speed up growth, or any ingredients the place of origin of which has not been fully certified.

The amount of nutrients a pig requires differs depending on its stage of development. A pig’s development will be improved and its meat will taste better when it is provided with feed optimized for its specific stage of development, allowing it to develop to its full genetic potential. The most important thing is to maintain the health of each pig while it is growing. This sounds like a matter of course, but in fact it is the most vital, and the most difficult, task involved in the breeding of pigs. At Global Pig Farms, we are committed to fulfilling this essential task without compromise.
